Yes I have tried everything that has been thrown my way and have bought my fair share of the “GURU” scams and worthless software promising you the big dollars with 1 clicks. Sound familiar!!!
Out of all the types of online marketing, reviews have been my main focus and this is where I make most of my money online. I review mostly Clickbank info products and will say that I do write very good reviews and not just hash out any old nonsense for content sake. I research the product, find keywords I want to rank for and set up my review site and optimize if for the Big ‘G’.
I do my SEO bit and within a matter of a few weeks I am ranking on page 1. Great, yes quite. BUT here is the issue. As I am sure most of you like me, target keywords that are not highly competitive that has decent traffic, nothing out of this world but good enough that your site will rank well and eventually rank for other keywords that you did not optimize for. This is Googles reward for providing a good site.
Once you reach the sweet top 5, you start seeing some traffic to your site with 1 or 2 clicking through to the info product you are promoting but without any conversions. Time passes and eventually you land one and you are celebrating because your hard work is starting to pay off. So you start thinking, cool, if my site makes 1 sale per day, this will be awesome.
The problem is, your site will not covert everyday because the click-through rate is too low for any chance of conversion.
This was the case with all my review sites. Good traffic, but low click-through rate. Hardly any chance of making any sort of commissions if no one will actually visit the sales page. You can’t blame the lack of conversions because your visitors are hardly seeing the offer.
I tweaked, changed, split-tested many variances, changed the call to action elements, with little effect. My sites were getting between 20 to 60 visitors per day and I needed a percentage of them to at least look at the product page before deciding to purchase or not. Most visitors to review sites will be researching a few reviews first before making a decision, so chances are them buying through your link are slim. So why not get them over to the offer page immediately.
I receive a lot of emails about the many Internet Marketing Products that will help you make money online and each one of them had the answer. It was right there in front of me. Why did I not use this on my own sites. Its legal, the visitor has a choice and you will have more chance of converting because they will be on the product sales page.
After applying this method to my review sites, there was an immediate increase in the click through rate and I was making more conversions using this. I will not lie to you, it did not make me thousands over night, but it has tripled and even quadrupled my sales.
